My old Seagate 60G died yesterday... I'm down one machine (PIV 2.6). 
I just ordered 2 new Seagate 7200.10 160 G to build a RAID 1 setup. I hope to have them soon...
The other machines are crunching with the new team but I just realized that you need to restart the service when changing the "client.cfg" file... 
It's now done on all the home machines.  |

Those are good drives, I like Seagate. I've had bad luck with Maxtor drives, they go wonky on my too often. Now that Seagate owns Maxtor, I hope Seagate's quality doesn't go down as a result.

The PIV 2.6 is back online. I'm actually posting with it.
I've just taken the old drives out of the box, put the F@H drive in my external USB rack, booted on a Mandriva live CD, copied the F@H directory on my USB key and launched the two F@H instances from the USB key.
The external rack was too noisy... the key is silent...
I'm now waiting for my new drives to arrive.
My first Goobee.org WU should arrive in a few hours... |
