I just received my new toy :
Lite-On IHAS124 - OEM 1
Asus M4A785TD-V EVO 1
AMD Phenom™ II X6 1090T Black Edition 1
Antec Sonata III 1
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 S-ATA - 500 Go - 16 Mo 1
Noctua NH-U12P SE2 1
OCZ DDR3 2 x 2 Go PC10600 Gold Edition 1
I installed Mandriva Linux 2010.1 (64 bits) on it.
It's running like a charm and actually crunching OGR 24/7 at around 300 MNodes/s !!! 
My I920 is giving me 265 MNodes/s and is more efficient by MHz.
It's my fastest machine ever !

I heard good things about the 1090T. It overclocks very nicely too from what I understand. I considered picking one up as most benchmarks I've seen have it comparable in performance to my i7 930. When the price drops, I may get one strictly for video encoding.

Can you run a day or so of F@H SMP client on it? I'd like to see if it's worth picking up for that.

OK, I could try one day or another...
Actually it's giving me around 330 MNodes/s at stock speed.
300 MNodes/s with dnetc V514
330 MNodes/s with dnetc V517. 
10% increase with the latest version of the client.

I tried but the machine is located at work and I can't access the Stanford's servers. I think that the proxy or the firewall is filtering this destination...

The current SMP client is really good and it awards high points based upon remaining completion time. My i7 930 only needs 2 - 3% of the allotted time to complete WUs. Pretty cool considering the 930 is only a 4 core processor with 4 virtual cores via HT.
It would have been interesting to see how 6 real cores would look.
Oh, a TC sighting.

I've upgraded one of my machine at work from an Athlon II X2 255 (3.1 GHz) to a Phenom II X4 965 (3.4 GHz). This machine is crunching OGR2 and the output is more than double now.

Good deal, our company only uses Dell/Intel machines with mild processors. They put so much security software that they barely run at all.

The mainboard is dead... and the machine is waiting for the new one. I've bought an ASUS M5A88-M EVO supporting AM3 or AM3+ processor. So this one is ready for a processor upgrade in the future.

I've replaced my Phenom2 X6 1090T config with this :
Motherboard : MSI Z97 PC Mate(MS-7850)
CPU : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz
Memory : 2 X Kingston DIMM DDR3 Synchrone 1600 MHz KHX1600C9D3/4GX
OGR-NG output is now around 500 Mnodes/s

Excellent.
I asked for a faster machine at the office and the most they are willing to do is upgrade the ram in my current laptop. These guys seem to have no idea how difficult it is to manage Excel with > 100,000 rows of data.

The future is now !
With Rizen arrival, AMD FX processors are now really affordable. I've ordered and received an AMD FX8300 black edition for 102€ (8 cores 3.3GHz, 32nm, 16 MB cache, AM3+, 95W TDP) to replace my Phenom II X4 965 (3.4 GHz, 45nm, AM3, 125W TDP). I think the output of this machine is soon to be X2.
I'll perhaps have to change the heatsink to lower temperature... I'll try with the actual (artic freezer 7) and swap eventually if too high.
