PSP found a prime. Not me this time Its been 2 years since the last one. Found by a member of the DPC. Will be interesting to see if it gets them more involved in the project.

Is good news - I wonder if the sieveing will speed up at all with a k removed?
Next-but-two Primegrid challenge 24 Sept-7 Oct is PSP LLR.
Fancy joining me on that, or are you going to stick with manual? |

swapping to boinc takes work. not sure how lazy i'll be about it. that and the whiny bitch factor on the forums during the challenges has put me off on doing them.

oh ya.... sieve should be faster. it is something about an inverse square root of the number of k so in the end it is a few percent increase. add the fact it is a high weight k it should help a little more. |

understood about the bitch factor - just do the challenge and ignore the forums :-)
new sieve file will hit PG for new WUs, so hopefully we'll get the benefit real soon now. |
