As expected. Twice the output of the Phenom II X4 965. Mr. Green

The dnetc benchmark shows the same output per core aroud 56 Mnodes/s. So I expected 8X56 but I was wrong !... Yellow Cry
The bulldozer has 8 CPU but only 4 FPU... The FPU is shared between 2 cores...
So the results are not so good. I get 8x39 MNodes/s instead.

Phenom II X4 965 (4 CPU + 4 FPU) at 3.4 GHz gives an output around 4 X 56 = 224 MNodes/s
FX8300 (8 CPU + 4 FPU) at 3.3 GHz gives an output around 8 X 39 = 312 MNodes/s

It's only a 39% increase. Yellow Confused

You're right go play with the new Rizen ! Yellow Twisted

So the 8 cores is not really 8 cores. More like 4 cores with hyperthreading.

Bulldozer was a disappointment in so many ways. You would think AMD would have been more careful after the Intel fiasco with Netburst P4 processors. Yellow Rolleyes
