I'm finally upgrading to Windows 7. Anything I need to be aware of for running OGR? _________________

Will give it a go as soon as I figure out this !@#$ Windows 7. I didn't use Vista at all so this is all new to me. So far, I hate Windows 7. _________________

I still don't had a look at it.
I'm actually trying a new linux distribution : mageia based on mandriva.
Still young but OK for me. _________________ Have fun and sport ! |

OK, I think I have most of Windows 7 tweaked and modded to look and behave like Windows XP. So far, a few of my older applications were found to not run, even in compatible mode. I really like Tmpgenc, the developers stopped support for it and it never made it to Windows 7.
On the bright side, OGR GPU and ORG x64 runs fine without fuss.
What crunches better, nvidia or ATI (AMD) GPUs? I ordered a 25" monitor and will probably need something more powerful than my current GTX 285 to run 1920x1080 resolution. Does the GPU client take advantage of CUDA? If it does, that would be a reason to stay with nvidia and pick up a GTX 570. _________________

There is no 64bits CUDA nor steam windows client...
There is one for 64bits linux if you have a box whit it.
With both OS CUDA or steam client only crunches RC5-72 paquets. _________________ Have fun and sport ! |
